Landfall

Worqen leaves beta. The escrow behind milestone hires has held real money on Solana mainnet since the mainnet launch, and the upgrade that brought hourly work onto it was executed in place, through a multisig. Milestones, disputes and reputation have been through repeated release cycles on live funds, and hourly work has been running on them since that upgrade. Nothing about signing up, hiring or getting paid changes today; the label does.

Clear Water

Hourly billing now refuses hours beyond the funded weekly limit at the moment they are logged, and bills the hours that fit instead of blocking the week outright. A dispute settled by agreement can no longer be overridden by the deadline release, and approving a milestone offers the release action on the spot. Chats attached to a job carry a contract card, and posting suggests categories and skills from what you have written.

The escrow program holding live funds on Solana mainnet was upgraded in place to the release that had been running on the test network, executed through a multisig and rehearsed beforehand against a replica of the live program state. The upgrade also brought the hourly weekly-invoice instructions to mainnet for the first time. Alongside it, a payment that reaches Solana but loses its confirmation on the way back is no longer given up on.

Safe Passage

Identity verification moved to a new provider, Persona, and now runs inside your profile in whichever of the ten languages you are using. Clients can schedule an interview straight from an application — pick a slot, or send a booking window and let the freelancer choose — with a calendar invite, a meeting link and reminders for both sides. Settings gained a list of the devices you have signed in from.

Full Sail

Hourly work was rebuilt around a funded weekly limit. The client funds a week up front, the freelancer logs time against it in a single row, and the week bills itself when it ends and releases after a seven-day review unless it is disputed — or the client can approve it and pay immediately. The contract page was rebuilt around one next action, earnings figures became private, and transaction history now covers every money movement rather than a handful.

Clean Lines

Pages across the dashboard now paint their layout immediately and fill in as data arrives, instead of holding a spinner on a blank screen. Wallet connection was rebuilt on the Wallet Standard, so newly released Solana wallets are detected without Worqen adding them one by one. The navigation was reorganised around what you are doing, service listings moved to one listing-wide rate, and public job and listing pages reach search engines with their content again.

Open Water

Hourly work arrives in the product: a job can be posted as hourly with a weekly hours cap, an hourly hire starts without money locked up front, and the freelancer logs hours and bills them as an invoice. Worqen Prime was repriced to a 3% platform fee against the 5% standard rate. A referral programme pays both sides in Worqs, and Settings gained consent preferences, a full data export and account deletion.

Rising Tide

Worqen Score is live: two separate reputation tracks, one as a freelancer and one as a client, each with its own levels, experience and perks. New Platform Wallets are built on a 12-word recovery phrase you can reveal and import into a self-custody app, protected by your password and by an alert whenever a secret is revealed. The Balance page gained a full Worqs history.

Trade Winds

USDT is switched on through the on-chain allowlist, joining SOL, USDC and EURC. A payment that settles on Solana but never reaches the app is now picked up and repaired by a check that runs every few minutes, and funding, releasing, cancelling and resolving an escrow from an external wallet are verified against the chain before Worqen records them. The landing page publishes the live escrow contract address, and each of the ten languages has its own address.

Even Keel

The platform service fee is now retained when an escrow is cancelled or a dispute is resolved, rather than being refunded to the client. Freelancers are unaffected — they always receive exactly the amount awarded to them.

The first public alpha of Worqen — a Solana-secured marketplace for digital and local work. Every payment runs through an on-chain escrow built for milestone-based hires. Self-custody and embedded wallets are both supported, so workers can be paid in SOL, USDC, USDT, or EURC without ever touching a seed phrase. This release covers the full hire lifecycle end-to-end and ships the Solana program with ten v2 security hardening items rooted in formal threat modeling.
