Hourly work was rebuilt around a funded weekly limit. The client funds a week up front, the freelancer logs time against it in a single row, and the week bills itself when it ends and releases after a seven-day review unless it is disputed — or the client can approve it and pay immediately. The contract page was rebuilt around one next action, earnings figures became private, and transaction history now covers every money movement rather than a handful.

Hourly billing

ChangedHourly hires run on a funded weekly limit. The client sets how many hours can be billed in a week and funds that amount up front, the freelancer logs time against it, and the week is billed on its own invoice.
ChangedA week bills automatically as it ends. The invoice then sits in review for seven days and releases to the freelancer on its own unless it is disputed, so the client does not have to approve it.
AddedA client can approve a submitted invoice and pay immediately instead of waiting out the review window. The confirmation names who gets paid, shows the amount, and says plainly that the release is immediate and final.
ImprovedLogging time takes one row: type 2, 1.5, 2h or 90m and press enter, with the note optional. There is also a week view where typing hours into any day saves as you go, and a one-tap timer that fills in your hours when you stop it.
RemovedLogged hours no longer have to be approved or rejected by the client before they can be billed. Time entries are evidence attached to the week's invoice, and hours saved as a draft are billable straight away.
AddedClients set the weekly limit in a panel showing what the freelancer receives, the platform fee and the total to fund before they confirm, and they can raise the limit and top up mid-week without ending the week.
AddedClients can turn on automatic weekly funding, so each new week is opened and funded from their Platform Wallet without them doing anything. External wallets still fund each week manually.
ChangedAnything funded for a week but not billed is returned to the client when the week settles. Both sides are notified with the amount released to the freelancer and the amount returned.
FixedYou can log more than one entry for the same day. A second entry used to be rejected with a note telling you to edit the first one.
ImprovedThe fee on an invoice is fixed to the rate agreed when the week was opened, so a later change to platform rates cannot alter what an already-open week costs.

Hires & milestones

ImprovedThe contract page opens with a plain-language status such as Waiting on you or In review, a step timeline showing where the hire stands with a countdown to release, and a single primary button, with everything else behind a menu.
FixedEither side can end an hourly hire, with a reason. Hours already logged stay billable until the current week closes, and the hire closes itself once the last invoice resolves. An hourly hire previously could not be ended once a week was funded.
AddedThe review form offers three optional yes-or-no questions: delivered on time, quality as expected, would work together again. Answering is optional and never blocks leaving a review.
FixedCharacter counters and date pickers in the posting wizard update as you type again, instead of freezing at whatever they showed when the step opened, and editing a published job no longer fails at the payment step.

Payments

ImprovedTransaction history covers the money movements that were missing before — hourly funding, payouts and refunds, tips, direct payments, dispute settlements, Worqs purchases, subscription charges, wallet transfers and escrow account rent — and shows the fee taken on each payment instead of zero.
FixedHourly invoices charge the rate the client actually pays, including the reduced Prime rate. They previously applied a flat 5% regardless of plan.
FixedThe platform fee on the new-hire payment breakdown shows the rate you actually pay rather than a fixed 5%, so Prime members see their reduced rate before funding.
AddedHourly hires can be paid in SOL as well as in stablecoins — the hourly escrow carries a native SOL vault alongside the token vaults.

AddedYou can create a self-custody Solana wallet directly on Worqen, or import an existing one, separately from your Platform Wallet. A new wallet gets a 12-word recovery phrase; imports accept a 12 or 24-word phrase. Its keys are derived in your browser and Worqen only ever stores the public address.
SecurityAn escrow can only be funded from a wallet you control — an external wallet has to prove ownership with a signature first — and the on-chain check already applied to external-wallet escrow actions now also rejects a transaction that did not reach the expected state.
ImprovedWhen an escrow is locked on-chain to one wallet, the payment screen names that wallet, offers to switch to it and explains that the link cannot be changed, instead of failing with an opaque error.
FixedBalances are read for the currency you are actually paying in. Hiring in USDC or EURC used to show another token's balance.
ImprovedWhen a payment fails because the wallet is short of SOL for network fees rather than short of the payment currency, the message says so specifically.

Profile & reputation

SecurityYour earnings and spending are private. Total earned, total spent, average contract value and the per-currency breakdown are shown only to you; other people see contract counts and verification.
ChangedThe on-chain activity block on a profile is visible to signed-out visitors, showing verified contract counts with no monetary amounts.
AddedWorqen Score levels carry concrete benefits: a reduced platform fee for clients, a lower fee on tips, better placement in search, priority support, a higher position in the dispute queue, a Prime discount and a monthly Worqs bonus. The perks list marks each level as unlocked, suspended or locked.
ChangedReferral rewards pay out when money is actually released on the invited person's first hire, on every payment route. The invited person receives a Worqs welcome bonus, and both people must have verified their identity: the invited person for the referral to count, the inviter to receive the bonus.
ChangedNo single counterparty can account for more than 40% of the Score you earn in a rolling 90-day window. The cap only applies once you have worked with at least three different people, so a first job is never affected.
ChangedThe minimum hire value for earning Score is measured against the whole hire rather than a single milestone, so a hire split into several small milestones earns Score on every release.
FixedJob success no longer counts terminations that were nobody's fault. Hires ended because the work was no longer needed, the budget changed, schedules clashed or the hire was created by mistake are excluded.

Marketplace

AddedJob pages show who posted the job. Their name and avatar link to their profile, alongside their client level, job success, how many jobs they have posted and completed, and their verification badge. New clients get a clearly marked first-time state.
ChangedThe last of the old pricing shapes are gone from service listings: the minimum-and-maximum band is replaced by the single rate, and any listing still marked Negotiable became an hourly listing.
AddedFreelancers choose what a proposal to their listing costs, from 0 to 100 Worqs. Setting it to 0 makes proposals free, and the send-proposal screen shows the real price. Listings published before this keep the previous cost.

ImprovedPages load faster: about 200 KB of language data no longer ships to the browser on every route, the landing page sends only the text it needs, the rich-text editor is fetched only once you start typing, and the app serves an instant static shell again while the rest streams in.
