Do I need crypto experience to use Worqen?

Accepted Answer

No. Sign up with email and password — same as any other platform. We create a Platform Wallet for you in the background (no seed phrase, no browser extension), and you get paid in USDC straight to it. If you already use Phantom or Solflare, you can connect them instead.

Yes — Worqen is live on Solana mainnet. Real product, real funds, open to the public. Sign up with email and start hiring or working the same day — no waitlist, no invite needed.

How does Worqen make money if Employees pay 0%?

Accepted Answer

The Employer pays a 5% platform fee on each Hire (3% with Prime). Employees keep 100% of what they earn. We also charge $20/month for Prime, and Worqs (platform credit used to apply for Jobs) cost 0.10 USDC each. We don’t take a fee on Disputes — when a Hire goes to arbitration, the platform doesn’t profit.

What currencies do you support?

USDC, USDT, EURC, and SOL — all native on Solana. USDC and USDT are dollar stablecoins and EURC is a euro stablecoin; we use them for predictable payments. SOL is used for variable-value Hires and for paying network gas. You can be paid in any of them, and the choice is set per Job.

Are my funds safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and “safe” here has a specific meaning we can show on-chain. When a Hire starts, the agreed amount is locked in our escrow smart contract on Solana. The contract has no instruction that lets Worqen move escrow funds to a platform wallet — there’s no admin override, no “release to ourselves” button. Funds release only when the Employer approves the work, or when a Dispute is resolved by an arbiter. The contract — worqen-escrow v1 — is deployed on Solana mainnet, covered by 25 automated tests (happy path + disputes, partial releases, edge cases), and the source code is public on GitHub. Every Hire is verifiable on Solscan: escrow address, locked amount, release transaction.

What if the Employer doesn’t pay or the Employee doesn’t deliver?

The escrow makes most of this impossible by design — payment is locked before work starts, not promised after. But for the cases where things go wrong: Employer cancels before work begins — full refund, no fee. The Hire status is “Accepted” until the Employee clicks Start Work; until then, the Employer can cancel and get 100% back. Employee disappears after Start Work — the Employer raises a Dispute. Funds stay locked, neither side can touch them. After negotiation (or arbiter ruling), funds either return to the Employer or are split. Employer refuses to approve completed work — the Employee raises a Dispute. Same flow — funds stay locked, arbiter reviews the delivery and rules. In every case, the funds are on-chain and visible. No one can quietly move them.

How long does a dispute take?

A Dispute has two stages. Stage 1 — Negotiation (up to 7 days). When a Dispute is raised, funds are automatically frozen on-chain for 7 days. A private Dispute chat opens between the parties — you can attach evidence and propose a Split (e.g. 70/30). If the other side accepts, the smart contract releases funds according to the agreement, and the Dispute closes. Stage 2 — Arbitration (up to 48 hours). If 7 days pass with no agreement, the Dispute escalates to a Worqen arbiter. The arbiter reviews evidence from both sides and rules: release in full, refund in full, or split. SLA is 48 hours from escalation. Worst case: ~9 days end-to-end. Most Disputes resolve in Stage 1 within the first 2–3 days.

How do I pay a contractor in crypto safely?

Worqen makes paying a contractor in crypto safe by design — the payment is locked in our escrow smart contract on Solana before any work begins, not paid as an upfront transfer that could disappear. When you hire a contractor, the Hire amount moves from your Platform Wallet into the escrow contract. The contract has no instruction that lets Worqen, or anyone else, redirect those funds to themselves. The contractor sees the locked payment on-chain — proof that the money is real and reserved for them. They start work. When they deliver, you review and click Approve. Only then does the smart contract release the payment directly to their Platform Wallet. If something goes wrong — they don’t deliver, you don’t approve — either side can raise a Dispute. Funds stay locked, a Worqen arbiter reviews evidence, and rules within 48 hours. No one can move the money quietly. Three things make this different from sending USDC directly to a wallet: the funds are locked before work (not paid after), the contract is open-source and verifiable on Solscan, and you only pay 5% to Worqen when the Hire is released (3% with Prime) — the contractor keeps 100% of what they earn.

What are Worqs?

Worqs are platform credit used by Employees to apply for Jobs. The Employer sets the application fee per Job — from 0 (free) up to whatever they choose. You get 60 Worqs at signup and 10 Worqs free every month (no expiry, no cap). You can also buy more at 0.10 USDC each, or get +30/month bundled with Prime.

Is Prime worth it?

Accepted Answer

Prime costs $20/month and reduces your Employer Fee from 5% to 3%. The math: at a 2% fee difference, Prime pays for itself once your monthly Hire volume crosses $1,000. If you’re hiring more than that, every Hire above the threshold costs 40% less in fees than on the Free plan. You also get +30 Worqs/month and priority support.

Where is Worqen available?

Accepted Answer

Most of the world. The US and Russia are blocked at launch — US because of money-transmitter licensing costs ($500K–2M across all states, plus NY BitLicense), Russia because of sanctions. OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions are also blocked for compliance reasons. The EU works in limited mode — you can use Worqen, but only through an external wallet (Phantom, Solflare). Platform Wallet is disabled in the EU until we get CASP authorization under MiCA. Core flow (hire, escrow, payment) works either way. Full US and EU access is planned post Series Seed, through licensed partners.

Question 12

Do I need to verify my identity?

Accepted Answer

Yes, KYC is required — via Sumsub, our verification provider. You upload an ID and pass a quick liveness check; verification typically takes minutes to a few hours. KYC happens once at the platform level, then you’re done — you don’t re-verify per Hire, and your KYC data isn’t shared with the other party.

Can I withdraw to a bank account?

Accepted Answer

Not directly. Worqen pays you in stablecoins (USDC, USDT, EURC, or SOL) to your wallet — that’s the whole point of the model: no banking detour, no 5–15% off-ramp loss. To convert to fiat, withdraw from your Platform Wallet to an exchange (Binance, Bitso, Kraken, your local P2P) and cash out there. Withdrawals from Worqen cost 0.305 USDC (network gas + rent exemption) regardless of amount.

What if I lose my password?

Click Forgot password on the Login screen, enter your email, and follow the magic link we send (valid for 1 hour). If you also have an External Wallet connected (Phantom, Solflare), you can recover via wallet signature instead. If you lose access to both email and wallet, contact info@worqen.com — Support can do manual recovery with proof of identity. Your Platform Wallet stays intact through any recovery method.

Three reasons. Speed: transactions settle in ~400ms — a milestone release reaches your wallet in seconds, not days. Cost: ~$0.005 per transaction — a $50 Hire isn’t eaten by gas fees. Stablecoin-native: USDC, USDT and EURC are first-class tokens on Solana, not wrapped synthetics. Together, they make sub-second, sub-cent escrow payments practically possible — which is what makes the 0% Employee fee economically viable in the first place.
