Crypto escrow for freelance work on Solana
Crypto escrow holds a client’s payment in an on-chain account until the agreed work is released. On Worqen, the client funds a Solana escrow with USDC, USDT, EURC or SOL before work starts, and payouts can go only to the escrow’s recorded parties and the platform fee destination.

Worqen is a freelance marketplace for cross-border work: escrowed deals are funded into an on-chain escrow on Solana before work starts and paid out in USDC, USDT, EURC or SOL. Freelancers pay no platform fee; clients pay a 5% fee.
How can you verify the escrow program?
Inspect the Solana mainnet program on Solscan. The program ID is HShWcYbT6wGrndgauQxNrcNJuJQ1BX9CVZqFSn9Q7rNs. Read the Disputes Policy for the contractual process.
- Agree the work, payment currency and acceptance criteria in a Worqen contract.
- Fund the escrow with the work amount and client fee; verify the transaction.
- Perform the work, submit deliverables and review them against the agreed scope.
- Approve the release, or use the contract’s cancellation or dispute flow.
- Verify the resulting release, refund or split transaction on-chain.
What is a crypto escrow service?
A crypto escrow service holds an agreed payment while the parties complete a deal. In Worqen, the payment sits in a Solana program-controlled vault associated with the contract. Funding is recorded on-chain before work starts. This page describes escrow for work agreed through Worqen; it is not a general-purpose escrow service for unrelated transfers.
How do funding and payment release work?
Agree the scope, deliverables, amount and currency. The client funds the contract escrow with the work amount plus the client platform fee. Both parties can verify the funding transaction. The freelancer then performs and submits the agreed work, and the client reviews it. An authorized release instruction pays the recorded worker amount to the freelancer and the platform fee to the recorded treasury.
How do refunds and disputes work?
If the work cannot proceed, use the cancellation or dispute flow in the contract instead of sending a separate transfer. A permitted cancellation returns the refundable work amount to the recorded client destination. If the parties disagree, they submit evidence through the dispute flow and Worqen can direct a split between the contract parties. The applicable terms and Fees Schedule govern the outcome; this guide does not change those terms.
Who can move the escrowed funds?
Worqen operates a platform authority, a single signing key on its own servers, that can authorize platform-directed releases, refunds and dispute resolutions. The program constrains payouts to the escrow’s recorded parties and the platform fee destination. The program also permits party-authorized release paths when the required confirmations are recorded, and mutual settlement paths when both parties sign. Program upgrades are executed through a Squads account controlled by Worqen. On-chain escrow therefore still involves trust in Worqen’s settlement authority and the upgrade process.
Which currencies and fees apply?
Worqen supports USDC, USDT, EURC and SOL on Solana. Freelancers pay no platform fee. The client fee is 5% on top of the work amount. On a 1,000 USDC work amount, the client deposit is 1,050 USDC and the freelancer receives 1,000 USDC on a full release. Solana network costs, token-account costs and any conversion or off-ramp charges are separate.
What else should you know?
Is Worqen escrow on Solana mainnet?
Yes. The mainnet program is HShWcYbT6wGrndgauQxNrcNJuJQ1BX9CVZqFSn9Q7rNs. You can inspect the program and associated transactions on Solscan. A block explorer shows on-chain activity; it does not assess the quality of a freelance engagement.
Can Worqen settle a dispute with its own authority?
Yes. Worqen operates the single platform-authority key used for platform-directed dispute resolutions. That authority can divide the permitted work amount between the recorded parties; it cannot choose an unrelated payout recipient through those settlement instructions. Program upgrades are executed through a Squads account controlled by Worqen.
Can I use escrow without paying a freelancer platform fee?
Freelancers pay no Worqen platform fee. The client pays the platform fee on top of the agreed work amount. Network and other third-party costs are separate.
