But should you send the money first?
You got the job.
But should you start before the money is there?
Worqen makes the deal safe
Worqen uses on-chain escrow to protect the transaction. Funds are released according to the agreed work and approval process.
Your work history shouldn’t depend only on what you say about yourself. Build professional reputation through real paid work.
Your Worqen Score is earned through paid work.
The freelancer gets the full job amount. Do the math.
Worqen is a freelance marketplace for cross-border work: escrowed deals are funded into an on-chain escrow on Solana before work starts and paid out in USDC, USDT, EURC or SOL. Freelancers pay no platform fee; clients pay a 5% fee. Worqen is not affiliated with Worken (the WORK token), WORQ coworking, or WorQ.
Worqen is built and operated by Worqen OÜ, a company in Tallinn, Estonia, founded in 2026 by Nikita Bolotskiy, Roman Kliuiev and Dmitry Kyselov. Payments run through an escrow program whose source code is public; it has been on Solana mainnet since June 2026 at the address HShWcYbT6wGrndgauQxNrcNJuJQ1BX9CVZqFSn9Q7rNs.
Worqen is built for cross-border work and is open in most countries. To comply with EU, U.S. and UN sanctions and anti-money-laundering law, it is not available to visitors connecting from Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Venezuela, Myanmar or Afghanistan.
Yes. Invite them with your referral link. Once they list a service, you can send them a hiring proposal, or they can apply to your job. Payment still goes through escrow, and the paid work counts toward both of your histories.
Yes. Connect a chat assistant to the Workspace MCP server at https://mcp.worqen.com/mcp/workspace to review existing contracts and chats, search messages, send plain-text updates and mark messages read. Workspace requires human sign-in and has no hiring or payments. Developers and standalone agents can use the full server. See /agents for the agent guide.
Agree on milestones and keep the work and messages in Worqen. If delivery goes wrong, open a dispute on the funded milestone and add your evidence. The money stays locked while you sort it out, and Worqen support can step in.
When the freelancer submits a milestone and you approve it, the payment goes to their wallet in the same step, usually within seconds. Hourly invoices are paid when you approve them, or automatically after a 7-day review.
Before the freelancer starts, you can cancel a funded single-payment contract and the job amount returns to your wallet; the service fee isn’t refunded. Once work has started, refunds go through a dispute: agree on a split, or let Worqen support decide.
The money stays locked. You have up to 7 days to settle in the dispute chat or agree on a split, and you can bring in Worqen support at any time. After that, a Worqen team member reviews it and decides. Every dispute also has a deadline, set when it’s opened: if there’s no decision by then, the freelancer is paid automatically.
Before you start, the contract shows the milestone as funded: the money is locked in escrow on Solana and you get a notification. You can check the transaction in a block explorer.
No platform fee. The client pays Worqen’s fee (5%) on top. Getting paid costs you nothing; you only pay Solana’s network fee, usually a fraction of a cent, when you sign something yourself, such as sending money out or opening a dispute. Keep a little SOL in your wallet for that.
As soon as the client approves a milestone, the money lands in your wallet, usually within seconds. Hourly invoices are paid on approval, or automatically after a 7-day review.
Every paid contract adds to your history and your Worqen Score. Points come mainly from money released through escrow, with extra for on-time delivery and good client reviews. Publicly, people see your level, title, job success and number of jobs; your earnings stay private.
No. You can create or import a self-custody wallet in your browser, connect Phantom or Solflare, or choose a custodial Platform Wallet whose keys Worqen stores encrypted on its servers. Keep your recovery phrase safe if you choose self-custody. Fund your wallet with USDC, USDT, EURC or SOL.
USDC, EURC, USDT and SOL, all on Solana.
During a contract, funded amounts sit in an escrow program on Solana. Other funds stay in your chosen wallet. You hold the keys to a browser-created or imported self-custody wallet and to external wallets. For an optional custodial Platform Wallet, Worqen stores its key encrypted on its servers and signs on your instruction.
